The Maryland Standardbred/Thoroughbred Eventing Series is intended to celebrate the post-racing careers of Maryland’s Standardbreds & Thoroughbreds. The series includes the United States Eventing Association’s recognized, 17 Maryland-based USEA Recognized horse trials, and is open to anyone who is a Maryland Resident competing a Standardbred or Thoroughbred.
Rules:
- Interested competitors must register on the MSTE Page of the Standardbred Thoroughbred Eventing website prior to the first competition for consideration of points. Competitors may sign up any time, as long as they can meet the minimum 5-competition requirement. Scores for events completed before registration will not be considered.
- Competitors must complete 5 of the 17 USEA recognized Maryland-based horse trials. Competitors may complete more than 5 events, but only the best scores will be kept. The more Maryland-based USEA Recognized Horse Trials you enter & complete, the better your chances to win.
- Competitors must submit their results from each event (final point total) to the Series point keeper within two weeks of each competition’s conclusion.
- Horses may be ridden by more than one person during the series, but points are based on each horse and rider combination, and each combination must be registered separately.
Cash and Sponsor Prizes for top 3 MSTE Horse/Rider combination will be presented in November, after the final USEA Maryland based Recognized Horse Trial of the season (Full Moon Farm). The first 50 riders to register receive the Maryland Standardbred Thoroughbred Eventing Pin.
The fun starts at Fair Hill International on April 13!
